Moths and other wildlife, come to Springlake Leisure….
Interesting fact. In the Summer of 2018 a wide variety of moths were found to be living at Springlake Leisure (some very rare) thanks to our nature loving visiting guests from Scotland who brought a moth trap with them.
Believe it or not, some 37 micro moths were caught and recorded within a period of just 7 days. Amazingly all moths were found within 30ft of the cottages!
All moths were released unharmed after being logged.
Also six species of bats inhabit our grounds, identified by sonar equipment.
We extend our thanks to the Sinclair family for these interesting and otherwise unobserved discoveries.
